I had a student ask me for a letter of recommendation last week, and I can't remember who it was. I'm pretty sure it was for World of Work, which happens next Thursday. If you are the student in question, would you mind emailing me? I need to know to write the letter for, when the letter is due, and how your teacher wants it submitted.
This announcement is mostly for 1st period, but may serve as a homework reminder for all general chemistry classes.
The last page of the sheets we started today is NOT part of your homework. It should say "Limiting Reagent Worksheet #1" at the top. Limiting reagents are part of section 12.3, which we will cover on Monday; please take notes on this section over the weekend. That last sheet will be your homework for Monday evening. See you in class! Here is the key (which we went over today) for the chapter 10 review sheet (which we did in class/for homework yesterday). Good luck studying! And please remember that your chapter 10 homework is due tomorrow.
Here is the key to today's review sheet for chapter 11. Note that equation 7 on the front and equations Q and R on the back are technically double replacements, but one of the products breaks down again so that there are three products instead of two. I will not ask you a question like this on the quiz.
If you'd like to look ahead a little, here is our plan: Tomorrow: Quiz on chapter 11, Chapter 11 homework due
Thursday: Practice (1/2 day) Due to the snow day, the timeline for 2nd quarter grades has been pushed back. All 2nd quarter grades are now due on January 28th, and report cards will be distributed on February 3rd. Please check Aspen sometime this week to verify that all of your grades have been entered correctly.
