Just wanted to send out a quick reminder: don't forget that your third quarter projects are due on Monday! Here's the rubric, and here's the assignment sheet. Stay warm, have a great weekend, and I'll see you in class.

Here is the key for the chapter 12 review sheet. Don't forget to bring your ion chart, periodic table, mole/stoich map, and a calculator - I will not have extras and you will not be allowed to share any of these.
Good luck studying! Hi everyone! It was brought to my attention today that the page number for the writing activity is incorrect on the chapter 10 homework sheet. The sheet says it is on page 298, but it is actually on page 296. Sorry about that!
Once again, good luck studying for tomorrow's quiz! See you in class. Here is the key for the chapter 10 review sheet, and here is the rubric for the 3rd quarter project (due March 23rd). Tomorrow, we will take and grade a practice quiz, and your chapter 10 homework will be due on Wednesday (same day as the actual quiz). Good luck studying! See you in class.
Here is the key for page 1 and the key for pages 2 and 3 of the Chapter 7/8/9 Review Sheet. Good luck studying! Don't forget to bring a pencil, periodic table, ion chart, and (if you need one) calculator for tomorrow's quiz. All electronegativity values will be provided, and the quiz will be multiple choice.
Since we did not have time to go over the nomenclature review sheet from Monday, here is the key. Please ask me any questions you have in/after class! As I've said before, nomenclature will affect everything we do in 3rd quarter as well as a significant portion of 4th quarter - this is not something you want to misunderstand or forget how to do.
See you in class! For those of you who were not here today (and even if you were), here’s what you missed.
Have a fantastic Winter Break! Get lots of rest, enjoy the holidays and your time with your families, and I will see you in January. Here are the keys for the first ionic nomenclature sheet you got yesterday as well as the back of it, and here is the key for the second ionic nomenclature sheet you picked up today.
The quiz tomorrow will include 10 compound formulas for you to name, 10 names for you to find the formula for, and 5 transfer diagrams for you to draw. Each problem will be worth 2 points for a total of 50. You will be allowed to use your ion chart and your colored periodic table! I will not have extras and you may not share, so make sure you have them before you get to class. Good luck studying! Don't forget that tomorrow is a money competition day for the canned food drive! Check for loose change in your couches and in coats you haven't worn for a while, and ask your parents, your neighbors, and your family friends if they have anything they might like to donate to people needing food in our community. You might be surprised at what you end up with.
6th Period: remember that you are about $11/person away from your goal! If you meet your goal tomorrow, I will make my own contribution at the same time. |
