Here is the key to the chapter 11 review sheet. Have a good afternoon, and I'll see you whenever we have class!

Here is the key for the front side and back side of the Organic Nomenclature Review Sheet. The key for the back side also contains a list of diagrams and names for all 9 isomers of heptane (which we drew in class yesterday), in case you would like to check your work a little more carefully/try them again. Good luck studying! Don't forget that we are doing the midterm lab activities tomorrow, so you will need to dress for lab. I will get your lab notebooks back to you either tomorrow or Friday.
Here are the keys for the front side and back side of the chapter 8/9 review sheet. Good luck studying! The test requires a full period of class, so we will only test tomorrow if there is no delay caused by snow. Should we have a delay, we will start chapter 22 instead and test on the next full day of school. See you in class!
Here is the key for the Chapter 5/6 Review handed out in class today. Good luck studying! If you want to look ahead, we are starting chapter 8 on Friday and will be combining it with chapter 9 early next week. I will be looking for chapter 8 notes on Friday, and will assign chapter 9 notes over the weekend. See you in class!
Here is the lab sheet for our Flame Tests Lab tomorrow. Don't forget to wear lab-appropriate shoes! See you in class.
Odds are that lab will not start until Tuesday, so no need for lab-appropriate shoes until then.
If you need a few extra problems to review electron configuration, try the last two pages of this sheet, and/or complete the practice sheet I gave out in class. The keys for both are available here.
Have a good rest of your weekend, and I'll see you in class on Monday! Here are the keys to the front page and the back page of the review sheet handed out in class today. Please don't forget to bring a log-capable calculator with you for tomorrow's quiz! Doing those half-life problems without one is not easy and will cost you an awful lot of time.
Please also remember that on Friday, we will be covering the procedure of the next lab and building the cloud chambers needed to complete it. You will need to dress appropriately for lab in order to build these cloud chambers! The lab will start on Wednesday the 5th, for which you will need to dress again, and for which you will need to bring a flashlight (preferably one with a yellow beam). We will start chapter 5 on Friday the 7th, so if you would like to get a little ahead, you may take notes on that chapter this weekend. See you in class! The identities of the lab unknowns are as follows:
A = Sand B = Borax C = Baking Soda D = Salt E = Citric Acid F = Boric Acid G = Sugar H = Marble Dust I = Hypo J = Lime Here is the key for the chapter 3 review sheet, and here is the key for the nomenclature practice sheet. Please remember that, on Monday, you will be expected to come in and start your test immediately and without talking, and that you will be provided with a blank periodic table (no element names given) as well as a blank copy of the half-sheet with polyatomic ions on it. You will not need any other aids (no calculators!). We will continue with chapter 4 material when I come back on Tuesday. Have a great weekend! Here is the key for the review sheet for tomorrow's test (chapters 1 and 2). The test is mostly short-answer, and will be worth 100 points, as are most of our tests. You will likely need the whole period to complete it, so I will have the room already set up with tests out when you come in; you should plan to arrive promptly, ready to start, take a seat, and begin your test without our usual warm-up chitchat. And don't forget a calculator! You will not be permitted to stay into 6th period.
On Monday, we will be starting chapter 3, so you will need to take notes on chapter 3 over the weekend. I will also be collecting your density labs on Tuesday (NOT to be written up in the lab notebooks!), so please make sure you take the time to look back at the comments on your first lab, read the blue sheet in detail, and address anything you forgot to do last time. See you in class! |
